There is two day folk music festival at Maheshwar, which we can be a part of…..

We have a group of new German Exchange students who will be joining us on the trip-We will have to add their email i.d's to our email lists and keep them in the loop
Prahlad Tipaniya, lives only an hour away from Ujjain and meeting him will not be a problem
The money for the accomodation needs to be payed ASAP
The Things that we could be exploring in Malwa
- Music
- How the music/folk songs are passed on through generations(eg: through the children)
- Spriha wants to explore the Crafts scene in Ujjain and she will do the research on it with anyone else who is interested
- Dhanya was trained as a classical musician and she wants to explore training of a folk musician, Arvind suggested www.beatsofindia.com as a starting point for Dhanyaa's research
- Ujaain was once a centre of learning and is/was refered to as the "oxford" if india, more reaserch could be done exploring this aspect of Ujjain, Nanki was interested in this
- Vicheet and Eleana would like to explore the landscape, the best way to this they felt would be just walking without a goal
- Exploring the Villages around Ujjain
- Exploring Narrative Theater and Folk Theater.
- Exploring Kabir's Influence on Malwa
- Exploring the Ethics of "Anthropology"
- Avinash was interested in Exploring the authenticity and passion of the people that he saw in Shabnum's Films
- Everyone was interested in exploring these spaces personally as well, because of curiosity..etc
We are planning to leave on the 8th of November on the Jaipur Express.

maybe we can focus on observing the place that we reach through, lets say music or culture. i strictly would like to distinguish that this observation is different than a analysis or a study or any other concious effort in mining out information from the space.
